As another year comes to a close, many organisations are celebrating the end to another year with their annual staff recognition functions. Woodside was no exception as they laid on a Las Vegas themed celebration for their Karratha based staff to celebrate the end to 2019.
The celebration was an open air event on Hampton Oval overlooking the water in Dampier, home of Red Dog. The Oval was set up with a Las Vegas theme with an illuminated Las Vegas sign on entry, Show Girls, an array of quality food trucks and of course, our first Karratha photo booth experience.
Our Vintage Photo Booth was a perfect choice for the occasion paired with a custom Las Vegas themed backdrop for the event. Guests came dressed up in their finest Las Vegas themed attire which added to the festival atmosphere. This theme was further amplified by the colourful and equally well dressed MC in Magnus D to keep the proceedings flowing. Daren Reid & The Soul City Groove, accompanied by an on point Cher act also made the trip from Perth to rock the stage all night despite the warm conditions.
No encore was necessary as the band kept the party alive by not only played through their breaks, but remaining on stage right through until the end of the event which had the dance floor pumping throughout the night. Special mention needs to go to the guests who got on stage to show off some of their dance moved with the band!
A flowing Bar and ‘Food Truck Alley’ offered guests a first class selection of gourmet eats from burgers to slow cooked BBQ, curry and delicious desert options. Serving all night we can personally vouch for the quality of food on offer!
This event marked our first Dampier and Karratha Photo Booth job and following our expansion in offering a permanent presence with a Photo Booth in Dunsborough, expands our service area across Western Australia. We had such a great time in the Pilbara and we have no doubt we will be back for a photo booth Karratha road trip in the future.
Many of the guests had not experienced a photo booth before and took great delight in getting the print outs after posing with their colleagues in the photo booth. the artwork naturally had a Las Vegas feel to the design and no doubt will take pride of place on many fridge’s in Karratha homes or work desks in the Woodside lunch rooms and offices.
